Standards & Accreditation Committee

About

Mission:

The Standards & Accreditation Committee is responsible for improving the Standards and Accreditation process for Programs and Consultants in compliance with U.S. Department of Justice and Federal Trade Commission requirements. Our Standards & Accreditation Committee, composed of gap year program staff, gap year consultants, risk management experts, and additional invited professionals, updates the Standards every 2-4 years. We publish the new standards and update the accreditation process accordingly.

Goals for 2023:

  1. Finalize 2023 Official Standards of Accreditation (DONE!)
  2. Begin 2023 GYA Professional Gap Year Consultant Standards
