This membership category is reserved for institutions of higher education that:

• Maintain an institutional commitment to advancing the gap year movement
• Support a student-centered approach when advising on gap year options and gap year-to-college pathways
• Demonstrate an institutional preference for experiential learning methods
• Cultivate a supportive campus environment for gap year alumni
• Possess or actively work towards gap year-friendly policies such as:
  • Internally tracking gap year student data
  • Offering reasonable deferral policies for gap year students
  • Friendly acceptance and transfer policies for college credits earned during a gap year

• Featured profile on GYA’s Official Gap Year College webpage
