The first week is an example of a usual volunteer routine schedule, and it happens by the time period of March until September. As we're out of the planting season we focus on the other sides of the project, such as seed collection, visit at local schools, seedling maintenance at our tree nursery, trail maintenance, camera traps check-up, agroforestry maintenance and much more...
The second week describes the season of October until February. In this season we focus mostly at planting trees, as we're at the rainy season (the best moment to begin our reforestation efforts). Just take into consideration that although our focus is at the reforestation work, we still have many other possibilities of activities to develop.
OBS: Also, although the rain can be good for the seedlings, too much rain can also be an obstacle for us at the logistical side, as the roads can get too muddy to drive on, and as the landscape at Minas Gerais can be quite hilly, improving the chances of accidents.
In those cases we might cancel the field activity for the day.
